Salvadores de Animales, Inc. is a local community-based volunteer organization. The mission of Salvadores de Animales, Inc. is to provide for the well-being of all companion animals in Chiriqui, Panama, including those that are homeless, abandoned, rescued, abused and injured. We provide foster care, medical treatment as needed, find lifelong loving homes through adoptions, and promote the animal/human bond through community service, education, and outreach. SALDEA is dedicated to ensuring animal abuse, neglect and suffering are reduced or eradicated by raising public awareness through action, education, and advocacy.  Founded in 2018 by a multicultural group of people from the United States, Panama, Venezuela, and France living in and near Boquete, Panama, SALDEA serves animals and humans alike throughout the Chiriqui province.  Approximately 95% of donations go to direct care of animals in the community, with 5% of proceeds going toward administrative overhead.  Because we do not own property or operate a shelter, our overhead is low and more funds thereby go directly to animal care. No person associated with SALDEA draws a salary or can take profit from the corporation: we are 100% volunteer.
